Working Pattern

Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (after a 3 month probation)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a busy and collaborative HR team, supporting managers across multiple business functions.

You'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service, partnering with stakeholders to provide pragmatic advice, drive best practice and support a positive employee experience.

The Opportunity

This is a true generalist HR role where no two days are the same.

You'll work closely with leaders across the business, providing expert guidance on employee relations, recruitment, people processes and HR initiatives while helping to ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving processes, enhancing employee engagement and supporting wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical HR advice and guidance.
  • Support managers with a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability cases.
  • Manage recruitment activities from vacancy approval through to onboarding, ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including contracts, probation reviews, changes to employment and leavers.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and employment legislation.
  • Prepare HR reports and analyse people data to support informed business decisions.
  • Assist with the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support learning and development activity, employee engagement initiatives and wider people projects.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business to promote a positive and consistent approach to people management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver an efficient and professional people service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be a proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships across the business.

You'll bring

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role within a generalist HR environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations processes.
  • Experience supporting managers with a wide range of HR matters.
  • Recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A professional, confidential and customer-focused approach.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification as a minimum.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or studying towards it.
  • Experience contributing to HR projects or organisational change.
  • Experience producing HR reports and analysing people data.
  • Experience delivering training or coaching managers.
  • Experience improving HR processes or implementing new initiatives.
