My client requires a Reporting Accountant for a period of 6 months. This is a varied role working for a business that truly values its employees. Ideally the candidate would have experience working in the tech sector but this is not essential.
Job Accountabilities/Targets:
- Production of monthly management accounts and financial commentary each month on time and reporting results to the management team.
- Work with the Billing team to improve the financial reporting in preparation for the monthly Management Accounts.
- Manage and pay the VAT returns as per HMRC requirements.
- Manage and pay the P11D and PAYE process as per HMRC requirements.
- Responsible for accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and explain any significant movements.
- Assist and work with the external auditors as and when required.
- Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
- Ensure financial controls, processes and risks are followed in accordance with those set.
- Identify potential process and control weaknesses with recommended solutions.
- Work with FP&A analyst to provide commentary around customer and product profitability.
- Review of projects against budget to ensure billing and classification accuracy.
What you will need to be successful:
- Newly qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA (a strong part qualified candidate will be considered).
- Technology sector experience is highly desirable.
- Practice background with a blend of accounting experience advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot, vlookup, sumif etc).
- A working knowledge of PowerBI is advantageous.
- Proactive & organised with a good attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
