Job Description
An established and growing Nottingham-based business with a diverse portfolio of projects is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team.
The role offers broad exposure across management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, working closely with senior stakeholders across a multi-entity environment. It would suit an ambitious accountant looking for a varied role with genuine commercial exposure and the opportunity to take ownership.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Support the annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes.
- Produce financial reports and analysis for senior management.
- Support year-end accounts, statutory reporting and external audit requirements.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams, providing financial insight and supporting process improvements.
Key requirements:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified/recently qualified.
- Strong management accounting and month-end experience.
- Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
- Organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
