Are you a finance professional with strong experience in financial systems, reporting and data, looking for a role where you can genuinely influence and improve how finance operates?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation in Milton Keynes, taking ownership of financial systems while working closely with Finance, Business Intelligence and senior stakeholders.
The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and developing financial accounting systems, ensuring data is accurate, reliable and meaningful.
You'll also have the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of the architecture and development of financial systems
- Develop insightful dashboards and reports for financial and non-financial users
- Analyse financial data and improve reporting solutions
- Work with the other teams to design, build and test reporting
- Develop and improve finance processes and controls
- Oversee financial data production and challenge existing outputs
- Support monthly management accounts and performance reporting
- Contribute to wider business projects and strategic analysis
About You
We're looking for someone with hands-on experience working with finance systems, financial reporting and data.
You don't need to be fully qualified. Part-qualified accountants, AAT-qualified candidates and strong finance systems professionals will all be considered.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience working with and developing financial systems and processes
- Strong Excel and computerised accounting systems experience
- Experience producing financial reports, management information or dashboards
- Good understanding of accounting and management accounts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
