About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented AAT/ACCA-qualified accountant to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit:
- Self-assessment tax returns
- Corporation tax returns
- VAT returns
- Manage client payroll accurately and within deadlines
- Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House regulations
- Maintain and manage accounting records using:
- Sage
- QuickBooks
- Xero
- Provide general accounting support, guidance, and advice to clients
- Handle bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks across multiple client accounts
Requirements
- Minimum AAT qualification (ACCA qualified or part-qualified preferred)
- Proficiency in Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
- Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience working in an accountancy practice
- Familiarity with additional accounting software
Experience Required
At least 1 year of experience in:
- Self-assessment tax returns
- VAT returns
- Payroll
- Bookkeeping
- Accounts preparation and corporation tax returns
Additional Requirements
- Fluent in English
- AAT/ACCA certification required
- Ability to reliably commute to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire or relocate prior to starting
