Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Finance Business Partner for a growing organisation in Merthyr Tydfil.
The commercial accountant will be:
- Liaising with the senior sales and finance teams to maximise sales and profit opportunities.
- Liaising with the sales teams on pricing and margin analysis.
- Working with the Purchasing team to improve business processes and ensure financial targets are met.
- Key focus areas are purchasing processes, commodity forecasts, and purchase price variance reporting.
- Delivering accurate financial information to the business in a methodical and timely manner.
- Providing senior management with KPIs (financial and non-financial) and periodic reports on trading forecasts, budgets and targets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Providing all purchasing financial information required for the annual Budget and periodic Forecasts and Strategic.
- Coordinating the underlying pricing assumptions for these projections.
- Costing of new products being developed through provision of forward-looking material prices.
- Modelling the impact of input cost changes on profitability.
- Working closely with supply chain to assess the financial implications of decisions in terms of stockholding, consignment stocks, distribution, write-offs and supplier payment terms.
- Inventory reporting ensuring correct valuation.
- Change from actual to standard costing.
- Wastage analysis and stock depreciation.
Salary from £50,000 to £65,000. Fully on site but flexible working. Death in service 3x salary. Subsidised canteen. Sick pay. 3% company pension - 5% employee. 25 days holiday plus birthday day off plus bank holidays.
