Robert Half are working in partnership with an established, leading business in Melksham to recruit an entry level Assistant Accountant role on a full-time permanent basis. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone that is pursuing their AAT qualification or a recent University graduate that is looking to establish a career within the accounting field. The Assistant Accountant role will provide a great challenge for someone that wants to quickly immerse themselves to all aspects of management accounting and statutory accounting. The salary is up to £28,000 plus study support, hybrid working, further career development opportunities and excellent benefits.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly revenue reports.
- Conduct the monthly overhead analysis of costs.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Posting journals.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Support with preparation of annual statutory reports and accounts.
- Supporting the wider team during the annual audit process.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (or similar), an AAT studier or someone with equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in a similar finance or accounting role (internship, placement, or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
