Job Description

On behalf of Protiviti, a leading global business consulting firm, we are currently seeking an experienced interim consultant to support a strategic Front Office Surveillance and Communications initiative, with a particular focus on Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).

This role will involve hands-on execution within the market surveillance team, specifically investigating and assessing Market Abuse alerts. The successful candidate will possess deep cross-asset class expertise, with a strong emphasis on Equities and Equity Derivatives.

Key requirements include:

  • Proven experience in applying MAR within surveillance frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge of SMARTS and Actimize platforms
  • Ability to review and enhance alert logic and assess the effectiveness of existing monitoring tools
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating market abuse risks, including insider dealing, manipulation, and misuse of confidential information
  • Capacity to operate at pace, triaging alerts, conducting investigations, and determining escalation or closure

This is a hybrid role based in London, requiring on-site presence 2-3 days per week. The engagement is expected to run through the end of 2025, with potential extension into 2026.
