Robert Half is supporting a Manchester business in the appointment of a Senior Accountant with strong analytical skills to support the integration of an international business into a U.S.-listed group. This role offers exposure to U.S. GAAP reporting, complex accounting matters, and cross-border finance transformation within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What you'll do:
- Support the conversion of financial reporting from IFRS to U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation for external reporting.
- Provide accounting guidance on complex and non-routine transactions.
- Support purchase accounting, impairment testing, and balance sheet accuracy.
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders during reporting cycles.
- Monitor accounting standard updates and assess potential impacts.
- Work closely with finance, tax, FP&A, and global accounting teams.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified accountant ACA or ACCA preferred, practice background with industry experience.
- Around 3+ years' experience in a Big 4 and/or listed company environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
- Experience in areas such as business combinations, revenue recognition, or leases.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is desirable.
