Management Accountant – Leeds (Β£50,000 – Β£55,000 + Benefits)

This is an excellent opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant seeking to take on a key role in supporting the financial operations of a major UK division.

About the Role

As a Management Accountant, you will be a vital part of the UK Finance team, working closely with cost centre leads and the divisional Managing Director to produce accurate and insightful financial reporting. You\’ll have the opportunity to make an impact through your expertise, proactive mindset, and dedication to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly reviews of commercial projects
  • Project Support: Assist the business in monitoring unbilled amounts on key projects to ensure financial accuracy and control.
  • Transactions: Process financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Reconciliations: Conduct reviews and reconciliations of Balance Sheets, along with maintaining supporting schedules.
  • Year-End Reporting: Support statutory audits to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Leadership: Opportunity to coach and potentially manage junior staff, developing your leadership skills.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek out opportunities for automation, simplification, and process efficiencies.

  • Qualification: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
