Job Description

Robert Half are partnered with a leading Scottish business to appoint a new Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic role for a dedicated and qualified professional to join a well-established business.

Role

Deliver accurate financial information, analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making, budgeting, and performance management for designated business areas. Take a proactive role in preparing management accounts, including forecasting, cost control, and financial planning, to ensure the organisation's financial stability and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and deliver monthly management results alongside associated reports.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Collaborate with asset managers and department heads to develop forecasts, five-year plans, and annual budgets.
  • Handle general accounting tasks.
  • Complete various submissions required by the tax department.
  • Process and code invoices.
  • Prepare recharges and recoverable works for port tenants.
  • Offer financial support to asset managers and department heads.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in Management Accounting with extensive industry experience.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities and excellent numerical skills.
  • Proven capability to work efficiently within set timescales and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to "spin the plates" by managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior and executive management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as accounting software.
  • Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributes ideas in a supportive team environment.
