The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Export Compliance Manager on behalf of a specialist Manufacturing business with offices in Bedford.The RoleAs Export Compliance Manager you will be the regional subject matter expert for export controls, classifications, sanctions compliance and licensing for the business covering sales across EMEA, India and the US. Day to day duties will consist of:Lead and support the regional export controls and sanctions compliance program for 37 legal entities in EMEA and India, including support in daily queriesPerform and lead military, dual-use, ECCN, and SCOMET classificationsProvide technical guidance to engineering and product teams on export control requirementsDrive continuous improvement of Internal Compliance Programs (ICP)Conduct and lead compliance audits, risk assessments, and corrective action programsEngage with local authorities on export compliance related topics, including regular audits and disclosuresManage export control training program for legal entitiesStrategize regulatory developments and assess business impactsSupport automation and digital transformation initiatives, including Global Trade Management (GTM) projectsPartner with stakeholders to ensure compliant and business-friendly processesYour ProfileYou will be knowledgeable across Exports, Imports and Trade Compliance across Europe and ideally further afield and ideally have worked within Engineering or Manufacturing industries. In addition you will have the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a global environment and will have a strong leadership personality with effective communication towards executive and site leadership.
