Robert Half Technology are assisting a global market leading financial services organisation to recruit a VMware Cloud Foundation Consultant on a 6 month contract basis. Hybrid working - London based.
This role will focus on VCF enablement, architecture design, build, and adoption, ensuring the platform is production-ready and aligned with enterprise standards.
Responsibilities:- The VMware Cloud Foundation Consultant will lead architecture design and implementation of VMware Cloud Foundation 9 (VCF9) platforms.
- Own VCF9 platform readiness, upgrade strategy, and adoption across enterprise environments.
- Design, deploy, and evolve core VCF9 components including compute, storage, networking, and lifecycle management.
- Define VCF9 reference architectures, standards, and best practices aligned to enterprise and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to deliver stable, scalable VCF9 environments.
- Provide expert support for VCF9 lifecycle management, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Enable knowledge transfer and operational handover for VCF9 platforms.
- The VMware Cloud Foundation Consultant will have deep, hands-on expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation 9 architecture and lifecycle.
- Proven track record delivering VCF9 upgrades, migrations, or greenfield builds at enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of the VCF9 full stack (vSphere, NSX, vSAN, SDDC Manager, lifecycle services).
- Experience supporting cloud modernisation using VCF9 in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Comfortable operating independently in a part-time, advisory or design authority role.
- Prior involvement in major VCF version transitions with emphasis on VCF9 capabilities and changes.
