Robert Half Technology are assisting a growing UK real estate organisation to recruit a Power BI Developer on a contract basis. 6-12 month contract with an ASAP start. Hybrid working - London based.
The Power BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to support business decision-making across property, finance, operations, and asset management teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Develop and optimise ETL processes using SQL and Power Query to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Build and maintain data models within Power BI to support self-service analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including property management systems, finance platforms, CRM systems, and operational databases.
- Monitor and improve report performance, usability, and data accuracy across the BI environment.
- Support the migration and enhancement of reporting processes within Azure-based data platforms.
- Troubleshoot reporting and data issues, providing timely resolutions and continuous improvements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions in a fast-paced project environment.
- Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features, data visualisation trends, and Microsoft technologies.
The Power BI Developer will have 2-5 years of experience delivering BI and reporting solutions in an SME, start-up, or scale-up environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI including DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and optimising performance.
- Experience working with Azure technologies including Data Factory and SQL databases would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and reporting best practices.
- Experience working with large datasets from multiple business systems and platforms.
- Previous experience within real estate, property, construction, or asset management environments would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with non-technical users.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
