Robert Half is partnering with a globally scaling, Hong Kong-founded tech platform revolutionising the logistics space, as they prepare for their London launch this August.

This is a foundational hire, so a rare opportunity to build the entire UK People function from the ground up as part of the founding team.

🚀 The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional HR role. You’ll be the go-to People lead in the UK, partnering closely with leadership locally and globally, while setting up the infrastructure needed to scale a high-growth business.

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing

People Ops & Build

  • Set up and own all UK HR infrastructure (payroll, benefits, policies, systems)
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law, working closely with HQ in Hong Kong
  • Build scalable processes to support rapid team growth

Hiring & Talent

  • Lead hiring strategy end-to-end across all business areas
  • Partner with leadership to define hiring plans and deliver at pace
  • Build strong talent pipelines and elevate candidate experience

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the UK MD and leadership team
  • Use data and insights to challenge and influence business decisions
  • Coach managers and drive performance, engagement and team effectiveness

Culture & Launch

  • Play a key role in launching and embedding company culture in London
  • Drive engagement, team initiatives and local identity
  • Act as the “eyes and ears” for HQ

👤 What We’re Looking For

  • 8–10 years’ experience within HR, ideally in startup / scale-up environments
  • Strong People Ops foundation with proven ability to build from scratch
  • Experience working with global teams / overseas HQ
  • Commercial, confident and comfortable challenging stakeholders
  • Proactive, curious and genuinely excited by the business and mission
  • Able to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Huge plus: Cantonese or Mandarin language skills (given close collaboration with Hong Kong HQ)
