Robert Half Technology are assisting a growing SaaS organisation to recruit a Mac IT Support Engineer on a contract basis. This is an initial 12-month contract with strong potential for extension and an ASAP start. This is a part-time opportunity working 3 days per week. The role will require 1 day per week onsite in London, with the remaining days worked remotely. This opportunity is ideally suited to candidates specifically seeking a 3-day-per-week contract engagement.
Role
- The Mac IT Support Engineer will act as the sole IT resource, providing end-to-end support for approximately 70 users across the UK and US.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for employees, ensuring a seamless user experience and appropriate access controls.
- Provide 1st Line and BAU IT support across a predominantly Mac environment, resolving hardware, software, and user-related issues.
- Administer and support Apple devices, ensuring they are configured, maintained, and secured in line with business requirements.
- Manage and support Microsoft Intune, including device provisioning, compliance policies, and endpoint management.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing excellent customer service and clear communication.
- Support IT operations, troubleshooting issues proactively and ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives and support ISO compliance activities where required, helping to maintain strong security and governance standards across the business.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset management records, and operational procedures.
Profile
- The Mac IT Support Engineer will have strong commercial experience supporting Mac environments within a helpdesk or IT support function.
- Proven experience administering and troubleshooting macOS devices in a business environment.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune is essential.
- Experience managing user onboarding, offboarding, and identity/access management processes.
- Strong understanding of IT support fundamentals, including hardware, software, networking, and endpoint management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently as the sole IT resource.
- Self-motivated and capable of prioritising workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- 5-8 years of relevant IT support, helpdesk, or endpoint engineering experience.
- Exposure to ISO compliance frameworks and cybersecurity best practices would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience supporting security initiatives, compliance audits, endpoint security, or information security controls would be an added bonus.
