Robert Half International is supporting a global consulting organisation in response to increasing demand across financial services for engineers who can remediate OS-level vulnerabilities across complex infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on patching, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation across enterprise Windows and Linux estates.

Assignment Details:

  • Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
  • Start Date: ASAP (fast-track onboarding)
  • Location: London / Hybrid (on-site preferred, flexibility available)
  • Daily Rate: Competitive day rate via PAYE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage patching across Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Remediate infrastructure and OS-level vulnerabilities
  • Support testing and validation in complex, regulated environments
  • Work closely with security and platform teams
  • Support high availability environments, including rollback strategies
  • Drive system hardening and resilience initiatives

Required Experience:

  • Strong infrastructure / system administration background
  • Proven experience in enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Experience across Windows and/or Linux platforms
  • Familiarity with SCCM, Intune, Ansible, Puppet or similar
  • Experience in regulated / enterprise environments

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to OS-level or kernel-related vulnerabilities
  • Financial services experience
  • Experience across complex multi-platform estates
