As a 1st Line Systems Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for users ranging from front-office traders and investment professionals through to senior executives. This is far more than a traditional service desk role. You'll gain exposure to enterprise infrastructure, work alongside experienced engineers and be given a clear pathway into 2nd Line, Infrastructure, Projects, Service Delivery and Technical Consultancy positions. What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing 1st line technical support for a wide range of users and technologies
  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents while delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Supporting desktop, server and business-critical systems remotely
  • Managing incidents through to resolution and coordinating with third-party suppliers where required
  • Performing operational checks and maintaining system health
  • Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted technology partner
  • Participating in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work (paid at enhanced rates)

Technical Experience

  • Additional exposure to VMware, PowerShell, SQL, VoIP, storage technologies or backup solutions would be advantageous.
