Robert Half are partnering with a globally recognised, US owned real estate/investment business to appoint a senior Finance Director within its EMEA controllership function. Operating across multiple international markets, this large-scale organisation manages a substantial portfolio of real estate and investment assets and is continuing to expand its European footprint. This is a high-profile leadership role with significant visibility across senior finance and operational stakeholders globally.

The Role

Reporting into senior international finance leadership, the Finance Director will take ownership of EMEA financial control, group reporting, governance, and statutory oversight across a complex multinational structure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all EMEA controllership and group reporting activities
  • Oversight of financial controls, governance, and SOX-compliant processes
  • Managing multi-country statutory reporting and audit relationships
  • Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Tax, Treasury, and Legal
  • Driving process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives
  • Leading and developing a high-performing international finance team
  • Acting as a senior business partner to executive leadership across the region

Experience required

  • Big 4/practice trained ACA qualified accountant, currently operating within industry
  • Minimum 10 years experience within finance and controllership functions
  • Extensive financial controls and group reporting experience within complex international organisations
  • Background within Real Estate, Fund Controlling, or Asset Management is essential
  • Experience working within a large multinational environment, ideally exposure to US GAAP, SOX etc
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and business partner credibly at senior leadership level
  • Proven track record operating within sophisticated corporate governance and control environments
