This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a complex, large-scale business. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across statutory reporting, group reporting, technical accounting, audit, tax and financial controls, while providing genuine scope to improve processes and influence best practice across the wider finance function. Leading balance sheet control processes, reconciliations and risk management activities. Owning IFRS 16 lease accounting across the business, including technical guidance and monthly reconciliations. Supporting the production of statutory accounts and associated reporting requirements. Leading external audit processes and acting as a key contact for auditors and stakeholders. Providing technical accounting guidance on evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Supporting corporate tax activities, VAT and CIS compliance. Driving improvements to financial controls, governance and reporting processes. Partnering with senior finance and operational stakeholders across the business. ACA or ACCA qualification. Practice-trained background, ideally from a recognised accountancy firm. Strong statutory reporting and financial reporting experience. Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems. Experience with Alteryx or other finance automation tools. Prior involvement in audit management, tax compliance or financial control functions. Significant exposure to senior finance leadership.
