Description Financial Controller - Fin-tech Industry - City of London Robert Half are partnering with a high-growth SME lender in the fin-tech industry to appoint a Financial Controller.
This Financial Controller role is based in the City of London, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office).
Operating within the fin-tech industry, the business specialises in lending, with a straightforward but commercially driven model.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in partnering with the business on commercial decision-making, particularly around risk, return, and capital allocation.
Candidate Profile Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong academic background Approx. 8-10 years' experience within the fin-tech industry, ideally with lending exposure Strong FP&A capability with advanced financial modelling skills Proven ability to operate both hands-on and strategically Experience improving processes, systems, and controls within a growing business The Role This is a hands-on Financial Controller position suited to someone who can operate both strategically and at a detailed level.
You will lead the development of a best-in-class FP&A function, bringing structure, automation, and insight to finance within a scaling fin-tech environment in the City of London.
The successful candidate will professionalise the finance function, build complex models, improve reporting processes, and act as a true business partner across the organisation.
