A leading, fully regulated financial services firm is seeking an IT Support Technician to join its growing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 18 months' experience in a helpdesk environment who wants to develop their technical capability within a professional, high-performing environment.
About the Role
You will provide day-to-day technical support to users across the business, ensuring colleagues receive an efficient, friendly and reliable service. The role includes user support, system administration and broader IT operations, with exposure to Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms and security tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop support and troubleshooting in a Windows 10/11 environment
- Remote user support
- Administration of Active Directory, Exchange Online, Office 365, Azure and other third-party services
- Support and administration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Daily systems and infrastructure checks
- Installing and configuring new hardware, software and peripherals
- Onboarding new staff
- Maintaining and managing Windows servers
- Creating and updating documentation for all IT processes and procedures
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing
- Anti-virus, firewall and cyber security monitoring
- Backup administration
- Licensing and printer management
- Delivering staff training
- Supporting all other aspects of daily IT operations
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 18 months' IT support experience within a regulated financial services environment
- Strong desktop troubleshooting skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach
- Calm under pressure, flexible and reliable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10/11)
