Robert Half have partnered with a London-based facilities organisation seeking an experienced Business Central Consultant to support a strategic technology transformation for 3-4 days per week. The business is transitioning away from Microsoft Dynamics NAV and consolidating its systems onto Dynamics 365 Business Central, with the broader goal of reducing reliance on third-party tools and creating a more streamlined, integrated Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Quote Model Migration: The business currently relies on a third-party solution to manage quotations and needs a consultant to:
    • Assess how the existing quote model can be migrated into Business Central
    • Determine whether this functionality can be replicated natively within BC
    • Design and implement a solution that is scalable, user-friendly, and fit for future growth
  • Reporting & Analytics: The organisation was an early adopter of Power BI and has built a mature reporting and analytics capability over time. The consultant will need to work within a complex environment involving:
    • A large volume of data
    • Multiple integrated systems
    • An established, sophisticated reporting landscape
  • Wider Platform Enhancement: While the quote model and reporting integration are immediate priorities, the role will also support additional workstreams aimed at expanding Business Central's functionality - bringing more processes in-house and reducing dependency on third-party providers.

Experience Required:

  • Proven hands-on experience implementing and/or configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Strong understanding of quotation/sales process configuration within BC (native and customised)
  • Familiarity with Power BI and integrating BC with reporting/analytics tools
  • Experience working in complex, multi-system environments with significant data volumes
  • Ability to advise on scalable, user-friendly system design - not just technical implementation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills; comfortable working consultatively with internal teams

Contract Details:

  • Role: Business Central Consultant
  • Location: London Based
  • Commitment: 3-4 days per week
  • Duration: Initial 3 months (potential for extension based on project needs)
  • Day Rate: Competitive Day Rate | Outside IR35
