Robert Half has partnered with a growing organisation to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant based in Liverpool. This role is well suited to someone developing their finance career and looking to gain strong technical experience across month-end, reconciliations and core accounting processes within a structured shared service environment. The salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000, hybrid working and 25 days annual leave.
The Role
- Support the delivery of accurate financial records and smooth month-end close.
- Posting journals into the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Preparing accruals and supporting month-end processes.
- Completing reconciliations for fixed assets, prepayments, intercompany and deferred income.
- Carrying out bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable close activities.
- Supporting VAT and CIS reporting.
- Maintaining financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal processes.
- Resolving queries and addressing issues promptly.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the shared service centre.

- Confident working with journals, reconciliations, accruals and other core accounting tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
