Legal Counsel Energy services firm Β£90K-Β£100K + bonus London (hybrid working) Role Purpose To provide legal support on commercial matters, ensuring the business operates within legal and regulatory frameworks while enabling efficient delivery of services. The role will focus on drafting, negotiating and advising on customer agreements, construction contracts (including JCT Measured Term Contracts), public procurement, and supplier agreements. The position will also provide ad hoc support on other legal matters including HR, Data Protection and IP. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, including construction contracts under JCT frameworks. Advise on public procurement / framework compliance and tender documentation. Prepare and negotiate supplier contracts and rebate agreements, ensuring risk management and compliance. Support the business on contractual risk assessment and escalation of high-risk clauses. Provide guidance on contract variations, extensions and dispute resolution. Assist with HR-related legal issues, including contract changes, disciplinary matters, settlement agreements and general employment queries. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with operational and commercial objectives. Maintain awareness of legal developments in commercial law, procurement regulations, construction and employment law. Support the Head of Legal in developing contract templates, playbooks, and risk management for the business. Essential Skills
