This is a senior, commercially focused finance position with responsibility for financial reporting, project performance, forecasting and commercial decision-making, while partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead monthly and annual financial reporting processes.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Provide financial analysis, insight and challenge to support business decision-making.
- Oversee the financial management of a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.
- Monitor project costs, revenue, margins and financial performance.
- Support revenue recognition and project timing, with
- IFRS 15 experience desirable
- Partner closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and operational teams.
- Support cash flow, working capital and wider commercial initiatives.
- Lead, develop and support the finance team.
- Support the integration of the business into wider Group finance governance and processes.
- Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting.
About you
- Qualified Accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Several years' post-qualified experience operating at a senior finance level.
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, rail or another project-based environment.
- Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing, mentoring or developing finance professionals.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive, hands-on and comfortable taking ownership of the finance function.
