This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong ACA-qualified accountant looking to build their career within a commercially focused business.
Whether you're making your first move from a small or mid-tier accountancy practice, or you've already gained 1-2 years' industry experience, this role offers broad exposure, genuine responsibility and the chance to work closely with an experienced finance leadership team.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of statutory reporting, group consolidations and external audit, while helping to strengthen financial controls and improve reporting processes across the business.
The Role As Financial Reporting Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and quality of the group's financial reporting.
Your responsibilities will include: Leading the month-end and year-end close process, delivering accurate consolidated financial reporting.
Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102 and managing the year-end external audit.
Owning the balance sheet review process, ensuring robust controls and reconciliations.
Providing technical accounting support on complex transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Driving continuous improvements across financial reporting, controls and finance processes.
About You We're looking for an ambitious accountant with strong technical foundations and a desire to develop within industry.
The ideal candidate will have: ACA qualification (essential).
Experience gained within a small or mid-tier accountancy practice, ideally looking to make a first move into industry, or up to two years' post-qualified industry experience.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including FRS102.
Exposure to statutory accounts and external audit.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to improving processes.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the business.
