This is a newly created opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who wants to take ownership of the FP&A agenda and have genuine influence across the wider business.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Operations and Procurement, providing the insight, challenge and analysis that supports better business decisions.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in shaping how the business understands and manages its financial performance.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Owning the annual budgeting process and supporting ongoing financial planning.
  • Preparing monthly revenue, margin and profit forecasts.
  • Leading cross-functional revenue review meetings with Sales, Operations and Procurement.
  • Analysing P&L performance, investigating variances and challenging stakeholders where required.
  • Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Monitoring capital expenditure and supporting investment decisions and business cases.
  • Producing high-quality management reporting and ensuring consistent, accurate financial information across the business.
  • Developing reporting packs and improving the quality and accessibility of financial insight.
  • Supporting senior leadership with analysis and decision-making, with potential exposure to Board-level discussions.

About You

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience across FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering.

You'll ideally bring

  • 5+ years' experience in FP&A or a commercially focused finance role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
  • The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and explain financial information to non-finance teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability.
  • Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach.
  • Manufacturing experience would be highly desirable

, although exceptional candidates from other sectors will be considered.

Why Join?

This is a great opportunity to join a business where FP&A is being built and developed, rather than simply stepping into an established reporting role.

You'll have genuine ownership of the budgeting and forecasting cycle, regular interaction with senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence decisions across the commercial and operational sides of the business.

You'll also have the opportunity to shape reporting processes and help establish a stronger, more consistent approach to financial insight across the organisation.
