Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit a Junior Python Developer on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. Hybrid working - London based (initially 5 days onsite, moving to 4 days per week).
Role:
- The Junior Python Developer will support and maintain a suite of Python-based processes and reporting tools used across the business.
- Provide day-to-day support for existing data pipelines, APIs, and reporting frameworks, troubleshooting issues and resolving incidents.
- Work across a technology stack centred on Python, Postgres, Docker, REST APIs, and local databases.
- Assist with the management and optimisation of automated processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Support infrastructure including virtual machines and data workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance reporting and operational processes.
- Contribute to the integration and ongoing use of AI tools across the organisation, including supporting controls and best practices.
- Help improve team efficiency through the effective use of technology and automation.
- Work alongside internal and external teams to ensure systems are maintained and developed in line with business needs.
- Over time, gain exposure to and contribute towards AI-focused initiatives as the role evolves.
