Robert Half (an S&P 500 global staffing provider) is supporting a global consulting firm in sourcing an experienced IT Business Analyst for a major telecommunications and satellite connectivity programme. This is a strategic piece of work focused on defining and designing new secure connectivity products to improve data access and service resilience for remote and high-security environments.

Assignment Details

• Initial Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension) to start ASAP
• Location: Primarily remote – occasional on-site day near Basingstoke, Hampshire
• Day Rate: £400-425 p/day via FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company

Role Overview

You’ll work closely with Product Managers and Delivery Managers within a connectivity services function to scope, analyse, and document the business and technical requirements supporting new satellite-enabled products. The role requires someone with a blend of telecoms knowledge, analytical discipline, and business process design capability, able to translate complex stakeholder needs into structured deliverables.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Design Analyst within telecoms, satellite communications, or connectivity services
• Strong background in requirements gathering, process mapping, and converting business objectives into delivery artefacts
• Experience supporting product managers to define end-to-end operating models – including service transition, operational readiness, and incident management
• Ability to engage with SMEs and technical leads to translate needs into actionable requirements
• Understanding of secure data access, remote monitoring, or IoT-style environments advantageous
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
