Interim Senior Financial Accountant in Leicester

Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a growing organisation in the East Midlands that requires immediate support in their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA ) to step into a visible and high-impact role during a key reporting period. You will help with Statutory Accounts Preparation, and take a lead on the audit process.

The Role

You\’ll be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, and supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements. The business is preparing for a year-end audit and needs someone confident, accurate and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts in line with IFRS / UK GAAP
• Group consolidation and reporting
• Liaison with external auditors and advisors
• Reviewing and improving financial reporting processes and controls
• Supporting internal stakeholders with ad hoc financial analysis and advice
• Assisting with any transitional work as the business looks to streamline processes and prepare for future growth

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA )
• Strong technical knowledge with a background in preparing statutory accounts, and managing an audit process.
• Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with group consolidation and audit processes of a £200m + group
• Comfortable with hybrid working (2 days on-site in the East Midlands)
