We are seeking a proactive, "go-getter" Financial Controller to join a rapidly developing division of an established business. This role will lead the finance function, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, improving processes, and driving performance insight across the business. You will manage a team and work closely with operational and senior stakeholders to support decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the month-end close (opening to closing balance) in line with strict deadlines (target: Day 3)
- Ensure accurate balance sheet, P&L, prepayments, and accruals
- Track performance against budget, forecast, and long-term plans
- Provide clear variance analysis and insight
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and group policies (including IFRS 16 - essential experience to this, capitalisation, provisions)
- Provide financial insight and decision support to improve business performance
- Present results and commentary
