Interim Finance Director - Capital Projects (12 months) Scotland (hybrid) 12-month contract Start: ASAP
I'm working with a business delivering a portfolio of major capital projects - and they're at a key point where finance leadership really matters. They're looking for an Interim Finance Director who can keep the day-to-day running smoothly while driving through a few big priorities:
- Managing investor relations - reporting, updates, and funding drawdowns
- Leading the year-end audit and keeping everything watertight
- Overseeing technology and automation rollouts to sharpen processes and insights
- Providing steady leadership to a capable finance team during a busy delivery phase
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and observe. It's for someone who likes to get into the detail, make things work better, and bring calm confidence to the table.
You’ll need:
- Strong background as an Interim or Finance Director, ideally in a capital projects or infrastructure setting
- Solid technical grounding in accounting and audit
- Clear, credible communication skills with investors and senior stakeholders
- Experience improving systems and processes (and the judgement to know what's worth fixing now vs later)
- A balance of strategic perspective and hands-on delivery
If you're available at short notice and like the idea of joining a team that's actually building things - not just talking about them - I'd love to hear from you.
The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
