HR is a true partner to the business. We work closely with leaders, managers, and employees across multiple countries, balancing legal compliance with practical, people-first solutions that enable the organisation to perform at its best. This role requires a confident, commercially minded HR professional who is comfortable operating with autonomy, exercising sound judgement, and knowing when to escalate versus when to act. You will be visible, approachable, and trusted, while maintaining clear professional boundaries. You’ll partner with leaders across EMEA, anticipating people risks before they arise and supporting managers to confidently and fairly handle issues themselves rather than taking problems away from them.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Advice & Employee Relations
    • Provide expert, pragmatic employment law advice across EMEA, keeping up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.
    • Support managers with formal and informal disciplinary, grievance, absence, and welfare cases (below senior leadership level).
    • Act as a mentor and trusted advisor to HR Advisors, team leads, and newly appointed managers.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Partner with managers and the Talent Acquisition team throughout the recruitment process.
    • Provide functional expertise on onboarding and the early employee experience.
    • Advise on appropriate terms and conditions for UK and international hires, escalating only when outside policy.
  • Organisational Development
    • Support organisational and cultural change initiatives, ensuring changes are effectively embedded.
    • Maintain and review the effectiveness of the performance appraisal framework.
    • Lead job evaluation processes to ensure consistency and rigour in role grading and salary setting.
    • Develop and maintain people policies aligned to business strategy, legal requirements, and best practice.
  • HR Operations & Governance
    • Act as the first point of contact for complex HR queries, providing clear, timely, and practical guidance.
    • Ensure compliance with GDPR and the robust handling of sensitive employee data.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You Enjoy:

  • Partnering with senior leaders and managers to shape workforce and people strategy.
  • Working across the full HR generalist remit, balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on delivery.
  • Applying employment law knowledge in a pragmatic, solutions-focused way.
  • Supporting and mentoring managers and junior HR colleagues.
  • Operating in an international, multicultural environment with shifting priorities.
  • Working with autonomy while remaining highly collaborative.

Skills & Experience:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (or working towards), with CIPD membership.
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Proven experience delivering HR across the full generalist remit.
  • Confidence supporting expert knowledge workers engaged under multiple contractual arrangements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Practical understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in an HR context.
