Group Financial Controller - Interim

Location: Iver, Buckinghamshire
Working Pattern: 3 days per week on-site
Rate: £550-£600 per day
IR35: Inside IR35

Robert Half is working exclusively with a leading creative industry business to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller on an interim basis.

This is a key role within the finance function, requiring an experienced financial controller who can provide strong financial governance, strengthen controls and operate effectively within a medium to complex organisational environment.

The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the effective operation of the Group's financial control environment, ensuring robust processes, accurate reporting and strong financial governance.

You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders and the wider business, providing both hands-on leadership and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and overseeing the Group financial control function.

  • Ensuring robust financial controls, governance and processes are maintained.

  • Supporting accurate and timely month-end and financial reporting.

  • Reviewing and improving existing processes and controls.

  • Identifying control weaknesses and implementing appropriate improvements.

  • Working across a medium to complex organisational structure with multiple stakeholders.

  • Providing technical accounting and financial control expertise to the wider finance team.

  • Supporting senior finance leadership with ad-hoc analysis, projects and improvements where required.

About You

The successful candidate will be a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with significant experience operating at Group Financial Controller level or within a similar senior financial control position.

You will ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification - essential.

  • Strong financial controls and governance experience.

  • Experience working within a medium to complex organisation .

  • A strong technical accounting background.

  • Proven experience improving financial processes and controls.

  • The ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience working effectively in an interim environment, with the ability to quickly understand a business and make an immediate impact.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a well-established creative business at an important point in its finance journey.

The role offers a competitive £550-£600 per day , is inside IR35 , and requires three days per week on-site in Iver .
