Robert Half are exclusively partnering with a global organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for their evolving Shared Services function based in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the General Ledger operations for a multinational enterprise during a time of significant transformation and growth.

As the Finance Manager, you’ll lead a key finance function within a centralised global business services environment. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely reporting across multiple regions, overseeing internal controls and process efficiency, and driving ongoing improvements across the General Ledger landscape.

Working in close collaboration with both local and international stakeholders, this role is central to enhancing service delivery, standardising processes, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead the General Ledger function within the Shared Services Centre, managing service delivery across several international entities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support finance transitions impacting the General Ledger function.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment in line with compliance and audit requirements.
  • Monitor KPIs and use data-driven insights to improve operational performance.
  • Manage and develop a team including Team Leads and several indirect reports, ensuring capability growth and succession planning.

Qualified accountant (or equivalent) with strong academic and professional grounding in finance. Skilled people leader, able to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team. Proficient in ERP systems and Excel, with a continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable: project management experience or additional language skills.

Salary up to £75,000 + 15% bonus

Hybrid working model – 2–3 days per week in the Cambridge office
