Finance Manager Location: Taunton (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Robert Half are delighted to be supporting an exciting and growing Taunton-based organisation in the search for a qualified accountant to join their leadership team in this pivotal role. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take ownership of a broad finance remit, partnering closely with senior stakeholders while leading a small finance team. This position offers significant exposure across the business, combining financial leadership, commercial insight and operational support to help drive performance and support future growth. The Role Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality finance function, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring robust financial management across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a small finance team. Deliver budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes. Partner with senior leaders and budget holders to provide financial insight and support decision-making. Produce and analyse management information, identifying trends, risks and opportunities. Lead budget reviews and challenge performance to drive accountability and value for money. Support the preparation of statutory accounts, audits and regulatory returns. Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks are maintained. Oversee revenue management, invoicing and cash collection activities. Support commercial decision-making, including pricing, costing and contract evaluations. Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems and reporting. Contribute to business change and cross-functional projects with a financial impact. About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in a finance leadership, finance manager, business partnering or financial controller capacity. Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience. Ability to influence and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Commercially minded with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong people management skills, with experience developing and mentoring teams. Comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
