Robert Half is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic manufacturing and operations environment with our client based in East Lothian. This role is a key strategic position, acting as a trusted advisor to the site leadership team and helping shape decisions that drive performance and sustainable growth.

Reporting functionally to the UK Financial Controller, you will work closely with operational leaders, providing insight beyond traditional finance tasks. Your focus will be on turning financial data into actionable plans, ensuring budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics deliver real business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the site management team to understand business drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate financial analysis into clear recommendations that support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Provide proactive financial advice and challenge stakeholders to optimise cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Deliver accurate financial and non-financial reporting (including KPIs and variance analysis) within strict deadlines.
  • Lead the development of performance plans, budgets, and forecasts, presenting quarterly updates to senior leadership.
  • Support investment decisions through robust CAPEX evaluations and scenario analysis.
  • About You

  • CA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving business performance and challenging assumptions constructively.
  • Confident in proposing innovative solutions and working collaboratively across functions.
