This role sits within a major infrastructure project company delivering a multi-billion-pound infrastructure programme in the UK. The programme is being delivered under a regulated infrastructure procurement model in partnership with a major utility provider and is set to run for 25 years.
The Project Reporting and Performance Analyst will support project delivery and finance teams by developing, managing, and improving data-driven reporting systems and dashboards. The role focuses on ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful project reporting to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and contractual compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of monthly reporting cycles
- Enhancement of automated reporting tools (including Power BI)
- Validation of contractor data
- Continuous improvement of reporting processes to support a fully data-driven project environment
Principal Responsibilities:
- Reporting & Dashboards: Own and manage the monthly project reporting cycle, ensuring timely submission of reports to senior and executive teams; assist in oversight of all project reporting requirements and attend meetings as required; develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support project delivery; work with wider teams to improve reporting quality, automation, and usability.
- Construction & Contractual Reporting: Ensure compliance with contractual reporting obligations, including structured reporting requirements under the project agreement; support delivery of reporting obligations aligned with project outputs and client requirements.
- Data, Analysis & Performance: Maintain and improve data-based reporting systems to ensure accuracy and consistency; verify contractor-supplied data and identify discrepancies or deviations; challenge and validate outputs to ensure alignment with underlying datasets; identify trends, deviations, and performance issues through reporting analysis; support development of a modular, data-driven business controlling toolkit with high levels of automation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Project management qualification (PMQ or equivalent)
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power BI essential)
Minimum Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in reporting, dashboards, or performance analysis within a project environment
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects (preferred)
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary project teams on complex programmes
