The role

  • Lead and develop the Group legal function, including commercial, corporate, data protection, and regulatory
  • Own US legal exposure, including commercial contracting with US customers
  • Own UK and EU commercial and corporate work, including customer SSAs, DPAs, partner and reseller agreements, M&A support, and corporate governance
  • Partner with the Quality and Regulatory function on the legal aspects of compliance in the UK, EU, and US.
  • Manage external counsel on cost, quality, and scope across the UK, EU, US and beyond.
  • Support the Board on listed company obligations
  • Lead legal response to disputes, regulatory queries, and significant commercial escalations.
  • Ensure proportionate insurance is in place.
  • Line manage our Legal Counsel and the Paralegal who report to you.
  • Improve how the legal function uses AI and workflow tools to move faster with no loss of quality.
