Robert Half is seeking an IT Clinical Systems Engineer to oversee and enhance its portfolio of clinical applications across oncology, haematology, radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, and supporting systems (billing, interfaces, third-party integrations). This role is central to ensuring reliable system performance and leading the roll out of clinical systems across an expanding UK network.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert support for clinical applications, working closely with IT, Service Desk, and clinical teams.
- Manage system upgrades, new technologies, and integration activities.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Act as the strategic technology partner to clinical stakeholders.
- Lead and deliver key projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee application performance, reduce technical debt, and maintain system roadmaps.
- Maintain strong documentation and drive continuous improvement.
About You
- Strong background in clinical information systems and healthcare IT.
- Experience in system management, vendor engagement, and project delivery.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure and platforms.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Computing degree, Microsoft/Citrix/ITIL certifications).
- Able to work autonomously and participate in on-call/occasional after-hours work.
