The Opportunity

As Design Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating design activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring design information is managed effectively and delivered in line with programme requirements. Working closely with senior project leadership, contractors and technical specialists, you will support design assurance, BIM coordination, programme management and stakeholder engagement across a major infrastructure scheme. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management and coordination of design activities across a major infrastructure programme.
  • Monitor progress against design milestones and ensure alignment with project delivery schedules.
  • Maintain and manage design information registers and tracking systems.
  • Coordinate Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities and ensure compliance with project information management requirements.
  • Assist with design reviews, technical submissions, requests for information and approval processes.
  • Attend design workshops, project meetings and site visits.
  • Support reporting activities for project leadership and governance boards.
  • Identify and manage design risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and delivery.

About You

  • Experience in design coordination, design management & BIM coordination.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Exposure to major infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of BIM processes and digital engineering environments.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing technical documentation and information workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project management platforms.
