About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring payroll-related queries are handled efficiently and professionally.
This is a key role within the Finance/HR function, requiring excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly/weekly payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including starters, leavers, salary changes, benefits and deductions.
- Process statutory payments and deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and other applicable deductions.
- Ensure payroll information complies with current legislation and company policies.
- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit relevant payroll reports and documentation.
- Manage payroll-related queries from employees and resolve issues promptly.
- Liaise with HR, Finance, pension providers and other third parties as required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure payroll documentation is securely stored.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including P60s and other statutory reporting.
- Support payroll audits and provide information as required.
- Keep up to date with changes to payroll legislation and regulations.
- Contribute to improving payroll processes, controls and systems.

- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and payroll/HR systems.
