Robert Half is partnering with a growing business within the automotive sector, seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to support financial reporting, budgeting and compliance activities. This is a hands-on role working closely with operational teams to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making. 6 month interim assignment. Onsite - North Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Deliver variance analysis against budgets, with a focus on operational costs
- Partner with department heads to review financial performance
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
- Support year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation
- Manage VAT reporting and ensure regulatory compliance
- Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects
- Provide support across transactional finance when required
Requirements:
- Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
