Salary: £60,000-£70,000
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Location: Bristol, hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
Travel: Occasional UK travel
Language: English essential; French desirable
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Human Resources Director for Northern Europe and working closely with the UK Country Manager and senior leadership team, you will become a key HR partner to the UK operation. The role combines strategic partnering with hands-on delivery across talent, capability, engagement, employee relations, reward and organisational change.
A particular focus will be the frontline and operational workforce, including drivers. As a newly created role, there is considerable scope to establish your own approach and shape the UK people agenda within an established international organisation.

The Role
You will act as a trusted adviser to the UK management team, translating business priorities into effective people solutions. Your remit will include:
Partnering with managers and leaders on the full range of HR matters
Delivering the UK learning and development agenda
Leading the apprenticeship strategy, including the Compound-to-Transporter Driver pathway
Owning the UK Driver Recruitment programme alongside wider recruitment
Developing management capability through leadership development
Strengthening employee engagement and experience
Advising on employee relations, employment law and HR policy
Managing relationships with trade unions and employee representative bodies
Supporting succession planning, talent development and the annual People Review
