Robert Half are delighted to be recruiting for a qualified financial accountant looking for an exceptional opportunity to step into a Group-level technical accounting and reporting role at a time of significant organisational transformation. The business is undergoing a large-scale modernisation programme, including:

  • New system implementations
  • Automation, process redesign and finance optimisation

You will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the finance function while strengthening the integrity of Group reporting across a fast-evolving organisation.

The Role

As a key member of the Group Finance team, you will take ownership of critical technical accounting and reporting activities, ensuring high-quality financial information that underpins strategic decisions. You will work across teams, influence stakeholders, and act as a technical expert during a period of rapid change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of Group consolidated accounts, maintaining consolidation models for accurate, timely and robust Group reporting.
  • Implement and uphold consistent accounting policies, ensuring correct interpretation, documentation and application across the organisation.
  • Partner with finance and business stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting treatment and aligned reporting.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements for both the Group and subsidiary entities.
  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS, providing technical guidance on new or emerging accounting standards.
  • Analyse the impact of evolving standards and support the successful implementation of required changes.
  • Produce technical accounting papers and board-level reports on key judgement areas.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during Half-Year Review and Year-End Audit, supporting planning and resolving technical issues.
  • Contribute to a wide range of finance transformation projects, cross-functional change initiatives and strategic programmes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing clear, actionable technical accounting guidance to stakeholders across the business.

About You

What You Bring

  • Strong experience in Group consolidation, technical accounting, and group-level reporting.
  • Expertise in IFRS, including consolidation, restructuring and complex accounting matters.
  • ACA/ACCA qualification, typically gained in an audit environment with exposure to large or listed groups.
  • Exceptional stakeholder skills - able to explain technical content clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with a drive for problem-solving, ownership and delivery.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, with strong communication and organisational skills.
