We are partnering with a leading infrastructure delivery organisation responsible for delivering a multi-billion-pound water resilience programme designed to modernise and strengthen a critical water supply network serving millions of customers across the North West. The programme includes the construction of approximately 50km of bored tunnels along an existing 110km aqueduct network originally constructed in the 1950s. This landmark infrastructure scheme represents one of the UK’s most significant engineering projects.
The organisation is responsible for financing, designing, constructing, and maintaining the new infrastructure assets, working closely with major construction and investment partners throughout the project lifecycle.

The Planner will support the successful delivery of the programme through effective schedule management, reporting, analysis, and stakeholder coordination. Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively identifying schedule risks and leading mitigation activities to protect critical project paths
- Providing “what-if” programme analysis and scenario planning
- Producing programme metrics, reports, filters, layouts, and lookahead schedules
- Supporting 4-week and 6-month lookahead planning activities
- Monitoring and verifying progress across design, procurement, and construction
- Performing programme integrity checks on contractor schedules
- Supporting assessment and implementation of programme impacts arising from change events
- Contributing to digital, data-driven programme monitoring and reporting processes
- Assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports
- Maintaining programme registers, trackers, and document control systems
- Supporting integration between programme schedules and cost models
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a planning or programme management role within a relevant sector
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or construction programmes
- Strong reporting, monitoring, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with Acumen Fuse is advantageous
