Robert Half Technology are assisting a global market leading e-commerce organisation to recruit a Backend Engineer on a 6 months contract basis. Hybrid working - London based.

As a Backend Engineer, you will build and scale services that enable internationalisation and support integration of new platform capabilities into the Live ecosystem.

Role

The Backend Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Building services for multi-language configuration and regional behaviour
  • Supporting currency handling, pricing logic, and transaction flows
  • Integrating new systems into the Live platform
  • Contributing to a shared transaction layer used across multiple products
  • Collaborating with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver consistent experiences
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build backend services end-to-end
  • Contribute to platform and API design decisions

The Backend Engineer will have:

  • Strong API and service development skills
