Interim Finance Director Yorkshire | Hybrid | Immediate Start

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Interim Finance Director to support a high-growth Yorkshire-based business going through a significant period of change. This is a critical interim appointment, requiring a hands-on, commercially focused finance leader who can operate at pace and add value quickly in a complex environment.

The role

  • Reporting into the senior leadership team, key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing strategic and operational financial leadership during a period of growth and transformation
  • Leading and developing the finance function, acting as a visible and credible people manager
  • Producing high-quality investor and stakeholder reporting
  • Ownership of cash flow management and cash flow modelling
  • Supporting the business through change initiatives, ensuring robust financial control and governance
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders

The role is Yorkshire based, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

The ideal candidate

  • You will be a professional interim with a proven track record of delivering successful Finance Director assignments, and will be able to demonstrate:
  • Extensive experience operating as an Interim FD or senior interim finance leader
  • Strong capability in investor reporting and cash flow forecasting/modelling
  • A hands-on, delivery-focused approach with the ability to influence at senior level
  • Strong people management skills, with experience leading teams through change
  • Immediate availability
  • Background in construction, utilities or infrastructure or related industry is highly desirable

Day rate & contract details

  • £600- £700 per day PAYE
  • Immediate start
  • Initial 6 month contract with potential to extend
