About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Systems Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This is a key role focused on ensuring financial systems and processes are efficient, accurate, and fully optimised to support high-quality reporting and decision-making. You will take ownership of the finance system, driving improvements, enhancing functionality, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the chart of accounts aligned to reporting requirements
- Ensure strong system controls, including approvals and segregation of duties
- Deliver training and support to users across finance and the wider business
- Document and continuously improve financial processes and procedures
- Identify and implement system and process improvements
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and system stakeholders to drive improvements
- Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution
- Build relationships with external suppliers to maximise system performance
- Stay up to date with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

- Advanced Excel (comfortable working with complex data)
- Solid accounting experience (Qualified or QBE)
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and improve processes
